The mission of Oakwood University, a historically black, Seventh-day Adventist institution, is to transform students through biblically based education for service to God and humanity. This transformation process is best described as an “experience.” For more than a century, Oakwood has been preparing students for a life of service to God and humanity through the creation of a unique learning environment that fosters achievement of learning, camaraderie, worship, amazing music and overall development of the whole person--all comprising the “Oakwood Experience.” Our non-traditional online students are also privileged to experience Oakwood in a similar way since virtual access is available for many on-campus events.
